| What are the restrictive covenants on the property? | A Conveyance of the land in this title dated 4 September 1952 made between (1) John William Downham and (2) Fred Robinson contains the following covenants:- "THE Purchaser hereby covenants with the Vendor that he the Purchaser and the persons deriving title under him will at all times hereafter observe and perform the restrictions and stipulations following:- (a) Not to erect any building other than one semi-detached private dwellinghouse with the usual outbuildings outoffices and garage to be appurtenant thereto and occupied therewith upon the said plot of land hereby conveyed (b) To keep the grounds as private gardens only and no shrubs or ornamental trees shall at any time be allowed to exceed a height of six feet from the ordinary level of the ground (c) Not to erect any building nearer to Castle Green Close than the building line marked green on the said plan (d) Not to carry on any noisy or noxious trade or business upon the said premises but the same to be used as a private dwellinghouse only (e) Not to keep any animals or fowls of any kind upon the property except the usual domestic dog or cat or caged-bird" NOTE: The green line referred to is the established line of existing buildings. |
