A Conveyance dated 2 June 1932 made between (1) Jane Woolfenden (Mortgagee) (2) James Woolfenden (Vendor) and (3) George Stead and Ellen Eliza Stead (Purchasers) contains the following covenants:- "THE Purchasers hereby COVENANT with the Vendor as follows:- (a) THAT they the Purchasers will not carry on nor permit to be carried on upon the said land any trade or business of an offensive nature or anything that is likely to be an annoyance or grievance to the Vendor's adjoining property (but this covenant shall not prevent the Purchasers from keeping poultry upon the plot of land hereby conveyed). (b) THAT they the Purchasers shall pay their share of any tithe rentcharge which may be payable in respect of the plot of land hereby conveyed and in case of dispute as to the amount to be paid the decision of the Vendor or his Surveyor shall be final."
