The following are details of the covenants contained in the Conveyance dated 13 July 1904 referred to in the Charges Register:- And the company hereby covenants with the said Alan Chambre Dickson his successors in title and assigns that the Company their successors or assigns ............................................. shall build upon the said plots of land or some part or parts thereof within 12 calendar months from the date of these presents with brick or stone slate or other good materials good and substantial buildings of not less annual value than £600 and that all buildings erected on any part of the said plots of land shall have the fronts in such line as be fixed upon by the said Alan Chambre Dickson his heirs or assigns or his or their surveyor and shall always thereafter be kept in good repair and rebuilt of a similar description and value in case of destruction or damage by fire or otherwise and that no building other than a common dwellinghouse or any disagreeabl smell or which may be considered by the said Alan Chambre Dickson his heirs or assigns as inconvenient noisy noisome or detrimental to the neighbourhood and that no building shall be erected and finished as back and front houses nor shall any cellar by inhabited as a separate dwelling nor be used for the purpose of weaving and that no cellar holes steps or projections shall extend further into the footpath than eighteen inches and all cellar holes shall be guarded by iron bars even and at right angles with the footpath and of not less than three fourths of an inch square nor placed more than 2 inches asunder and that no back dwellinghouses shall be erected upon the said plot of land nor any building wherein shall be carried on the sale of ale beer wine or spirituous liquors.
